We've Arrived in Germany!

By: Kati Tanner

Wow, Germany!  We have arrived in Germany after an eight and a half hour flight and are having so much fun.  Drinks, food, cars, bathrooms, and even light switches are very different.  Emory and I are going to be blogging about the experiences we have in this country. I have so much to write about, it's hard to figure out where to begin.

  1. The class was excited to hear from you. We have been busy getting ready for PASS. We also watched the dvd of My Side of the Mt. Baskin Robbins came today for our ice cream treat. We want to know what the weather is like there. Also when does the sun rise and set? Do a lot of people speak English and what is the time difference? What have you done so far? We noticed you were going to a castle. Which one? We might like to do a little research on it. Thanks for sharing your trip with us!

  2. Hi everyone! I miss y'all! The plane ride was so long. But it had T.V.'s on every seat and came with a blanket and pillow. On the first day it was freezing and raining. We went on a bike tour all around town. On May 7 the weather was nice and good and felt like Columbia in the fall. I don't know when the sun rises because I was asleep and had jet lag. The sun sets at around 9:00pm. Not a lot of people speak English. When you order food at a restaurant you don't know what you are getting because you can't read the menu or understand the waiter. We are going to Neusschwanstein. I know, a long castle name! GOOD LUCK ON PASS! Tuesday is the day. I was wondering if Copeland could get my book? I left it at school on Friday. See ya later!

  3. Copeland gave your book to your dad. Mr. Shorter was our PASS monitor. We were glad to have him. We want to hear all about your visit to the castle. I believe that is the one that Walt Disney used to model Cinderella's castle after. Coleman wants to know the kind of sports played there. How is the food? What kind of food do they eat? Copeland wants to know how your hotel is.
