By Emory Farrand,
One subway… one bus… one awesome adventure. That is how our day at the Andechs Monastery went. The monastery, built in 1450 is an old religious haven for monks and nuns that also has a large brewery. First we went to the church and took many pictures of golden shrines, painted ceilings and more than 10 confession booths. After that we went to one of the many monastery’s beer gardens. What made this great were the huge pretzels and the small Cokes in bottles. Remember when I told you about the Mezzo Mix; well this place makes their own with Coke and orange soda. One final neat thing was the mini golf course near the church. We played a round of crazy golf. The course was metal, brightly colored, spread out, and just plain weird . . . but really fun.

Great post Emory - I'm glad to see you are getting to do different thing from my trip. I can't wait to hear all about your experience. XOXOXOXOXO Mom
